The Terra Uma Vineyard
In June of 2023, together with members of our inaugural program, we planted the first vineyard plot of the Terra Uma organization in Bat Shlomo, where grapes are grown for the healing journeys of the following year. Working in the vineyard is an important component of the participants' process. Direct contact with the earth allows for an opening of the heart and the release of physical and emotional energy, learning the presence of mindfulness from the observation of nature's cycles, and the wisdom that comes from caring for the vines. This vineyard will soon be wheelchair accessible for veterans with ambulatory disabilities.

The Orchard
The orchard of the TERRA UMA Association is a natural space overlooking the association’s vineyard, where creative, productive, and emotional activities take place to support the wine therapy program and the spirit of the association. It is also our place to rest and refresh from the physical work in the vineyard.
The orchard spans an area of 7 dunams (approx. 1.75 acres) and features heritage trees, fruit trees, vegetable beds, and herbs. Seating, resting, and learning corners created by participants in the association’s programs are scattered throughout the area, giving it a unique and homely atmosphere.
